Learn about the behind the scenes data of Dawn of War 2! Such as, Weapon Types, Armor Types, and Unit Sizes. Having a general understanding of these basic principles will help you maximize your damage to the enemy!

A lot of you may be wondering, where in the heck can I go to acquire some of that useful data that happens “Behind the scenes” in Warhammer 40k Dawn of War 2. Well fear no more! This information can easily be acquired by proceeding to http://www.dow2.info . You might be wondering, “why the hell would I care about what goes on behind the scenes? I just want to kill stuff!”. Well suffice it to say, one of the big things in most RTS games and even more so in todays competitive gaming world, it has become quite the game of “Rock, Paper, Scissor’s”. Fortunately though, with proper Micromanagement (to be described at a later date) even a unit that is meant to counter another can be bested.

By knowing what’s really going on behind the scenes, you will find that there are lots of units that are “Hard Counters” to other units (I.E. Pure Melee unit defeating a ranged unit). Hard Counters are units that will nearly always beat the unit they are meant to counter if both are unsupported with other units. So for instance if you have 1 tactical marine squad vs 1 banshee squad, with out upgrades, and you let them just “go at it” (With no micromanagement, hence the “Nearly”) then you are going to find the tactical squad loosing quite frequently (99.9%). This is discovered on DoW2.info by reading the “Damage Types” and “Armor Types” sections. You will find that the banshee’s not only do incredible damage, but they also do MORE damage to tactical marines than other units would. This is due to the Power Weapons (wielded by banshees) doing extra damage to Heavy Armor (worn by Tactical Marines).
